About Me:

Who is Lindsey Jenkins?

Hi there- I’m (Sarah) Lindsey Jenkins- the founder of Life Thru the Linds Photography. I was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. My dad lived on Lookout Mountain and my mom lived in East Brainerd. I happily grew up beside my two step sisters, Claire and Kylie Lee. We all went to Baylor High School, where I spent 2007 to 2016. I graduated and went off to college at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (Go Mocs!) Following graduation, I began my first professional career in Fairbanks, Alaska as a News Reporter for KTVF Channel 11 and KXDF Channel 13. My journey had it’s fair share of ups and downs, and a little over a year later, I made my way back to the South- landing in Bowling Green, Kentucky. I worked as a news anchor/reporter in Bowling Green just shy of a year before I was recruited by a news station in my hometown.

I joined WDEF News Channel 12 as the weekend news anchor/ weekday reporter in 2023, but amidst the hustle and bustle of journalism and an unexpected pregnancy, one passion remained constant: photography. Throughout high school and college I worked as a photographer for some extra money on the side. I can recall that some of my earliest memories are ones playing with a camera, being fascinated with what all it could capture. While on vacation at the beach as a child, I used to beg my parents to let me walk around the neighborhood all day with our little digital camera, and would come back with hundreds of pictures of flowers. As I got older, I was the annoying little sister following everyone around with a camera. In middle school if I had a friend over for a sleepover, my idea of an activity for the evening was getting all dressed up and getting my friend to model in the forest so I could take pictures of her. I can still promise you- there was definitely a vision lol. This is all to say, I genuinely enjoy taking pictures, and I’d like to think that, by now, if I was bad at it someone would’ve stopped me. With a keen eye for the perfect shot and an unwavering dedication to my craft, I ensure that every photo session tells a story worth hanging on the wall, putting in a photo album and passing down to your kids and theirs <3.

Despite being a busy new mom on the go, I cherish the tradition of printing photos and curating albums, embodying a timeless appreciation for the old fashion way to keep memories. At Life Thru the Linds, I work to combine my professional experience with my personal passion to create the photos you deserve to keep close forever.
